Our Story

Sixteen cats, one unforgettable dog, and a love that refused to give up — this is how LumeNobre began.

We Didn't Plan This. Life Had Other Ideas.

We're a couple who never set out to start a business. We set out to care — for every animal that crossed our path.
It started simply enough: we adopted a cat. Then another. Then a few more who needed a home. Before we knew it, our house was full — not just of cats, but of love, chaos, whiskers on every surface, and the unmistakable sound of a tail knocking something off a shelf.
Today, we share our home with sixteen rescue cats. Sixteen personalities. Sixteen different ways of demanding breakfast. Sixteen reasons to smile every single day.
We didn't plan this. But we wouldn't change it for the world.

The Ones Who Became Stars

Not every story has a happy ending — and we won't pretend otherwise. Because pretending doesn't honour the ones we loved and lost.
Floki was one of ours. A rescue cat with a spirit that filled every room he walked into. He had this way of looking at you — like he understood everything you were feeling and had decided it was going to be alright. Floki crossed the rainbow bridge, but he left paw prints on our hearts that no amount of time will wash away.
Luna was a beautiful caramel —coloured dog who wandered into our lives - and into my husband's heart in particular. He fed her every day. He cared for her when she was unwell. He sat with her on the when she needed company more than food. Luna became family, even independence like a bdge of honour. When Luna became a star too, the grief was real. Because the love was real.
And there were others - cats we found too late, cats we couldn't save despite everything we tried. Each one mattered. Each one is remembered. Each one is part of why we do what we do.
We don't shares this for sympathy. We share it because it's the truth of who we are — people who love deeply, who fight for animals, even when the odds are against us, and who believe that every single life is worth trying for.

Cats being fed

The Stree Don't Sleep - Neither Do We

My husband is the kind of person who cannot walk past a hungry animal. It's not in his nature. It never has been.
Every single day — rain or shine, winter or summer — he feeds street cats in our neighbourhood. Not one or two. Several. Cats who've never know a warm bed or a full bowl, but who know his voice and come running when they hear his footsteps.
Over the past year alone, he's helped rescue several of these cats — bringing them to safety, getting them veterinary care, and finding them homes. Some came to live with us. Some wen to other loving families. Some, despite everything, we couldn't save.
That las part never gets easier. But it never stops us from trying again the next day.
Because here's what we've learned: you don't save every animal by giving up. You save the ones you can by showing up — consistently, relentlessly, with food in one hand and hope in the other.
